For each modality, there are technologists who are certified and state-licensed to safely operate the imaging equipment.
One of the technological advancements in Diagnostic Imaging is the film-less Picture Archival Communication System (PACS), which allows X-Rays to be taken, stored and read digitally on a computer. This allows physicians the convenience and speed of computer access to read patient x-rays when on-site or away from the hospital.
Services provided by the Diagnostic Imaging Center include:
- Computerized Tomography Scan
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (M.R.I.)
- Nuclear Medicine
- Ultrasound
