February is American Heart Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about heart disease — the leading cause of death in the United States — and the steps individuals and families can take to protect their heart health. As part of this nationwide effort, Saline Health System is hosting a heart-themed art show that celebrates creativity while encouraging conversations about prevention, wellness and the importance of caring for the heart.

Local students in grades 9 - 12 are invited to submit artwork inspired by the theme of heart health, compassion, healing or what the heart means to them. Entries must be submitted by Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at the main entrance of Saline Memorial Hospital between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.

The community is invited to attend the art show in the hospital's administration building from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026. Attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite art to win the People's Choice Award.
