The Saline Memorial Surgery Department describes itself as having a department wide philosophy of “Patient Safety First.” These surgery professionals provide quality care for patients in all phases of the surgery experience.

Technology has a high priority in the SMH Surgery Department. After the 2005 construction of the new surgery center, SMH now has six operating rooms, four of which run regularly, Monday thru Friday. Within the last five years, the Surgery Department has seen growth from 125 cases per month to an average of 275 per month. Surgeries performed at SMH include Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, General, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology and Vascular.
