Electrophysiology & Cardiology

Dr. De Bruyn is a well-known central Arkansas cardiologist now affiliated with Central Arkansas Cardiology Associates. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, and completed cardiology and electrophysiology (EP) fellowships at Barnes Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis. He is board certified and has been in private practice in Little Rock since 1998.

Dr. De Bruyn sees patients with irregular heart rhythms, or arrhythmias, that can cause a variety of symptoms, such as palpitations, very fast or slow heart rates, syncope (fainting or passing out), supraventricular and ventricular tachycardias.

In addition to treating patients with medication, Dr. De Bruyn performs a variety of procedures to help patients with their irregular heart rhythms, including:
  • Electrophysiology studies and ablations
  • Pacemakers
  • Defibrillators
  • Specialized biventricular pacemakers and defibrillators, for patients with heart failure

Dr. De Bruyn is excited to help build a truly state-of-the-art electrophysiology lab at Saline Memorial that will allow patients to have complex heart rhythm problems treated close to home.
