Generations – “A Program for Seniors” -
Aging can present many challenges that older adults find
difficult to overcome. Many of these challenges threaten the
independence of older adults. SMH Generations is designed to
address the total well being of older adults. Generations
offers effective, inpatient treatment to meet the medical,
emotional, behavioral, and physical needs of seniors aged 55
and older. A multidisciplinary team of mental health and
medical professionals provide treatment in a gentle and
caring environment. These professionals share the goal of
helping each patient achieve a more satisfying lifestyle.
While the process of aging may present some increased
challenges relating to physical and mental capabilities, the
behaviors of confusion, depression or forgetfulness that may
result from these challenges can be misinterpreted as a
normal part of aging.
