Registration is now open for the 12th annual Swing Fore Saline Golf Tournament set for Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11, at Hurricane Golf and Country Club in Bryant. For the first time ever, the two-day tournament, presented by the Saline Memorial Health Foundation and Everett Buick GMC, will be used to fund scholarships for Saline County students—both traditional and non-traditional.

“We’re grateful for the amount of support and participation we’ve had over the past eleven years,” said Matt Brumley, director of the SMH Health Foundation. “In previous years, tournament proceeds have been used to enhance healthcare for our community—whether it’s by funding Hospice needs, technology or the refurbishment of patient rooms. This year, we wanted to expand our reach and impact individuals in our community looking to further their education.”

“We are proud to partner with the Saline Memorial Health Foundation for this event that will directly impact the future of our students,” said Susie Everett, spokesperson for Everett Buick GMC. “By funding educational scholarships and training, this will provide many with opportunities to attend school without the financial burden.”

The Swing Fore Saline golf tournament is one of the largest charity tournaments in Saline County that hosts an average of 360 golfers each year.

"With your support, we believe we can exceed our previous goals and help numerous deserving people pursue their dreams," said Brumley. Golfers have the option to play in one of three flights. The four-person scramble will begin on Thursday with a 1:30pm flight. The Friday flights will start at 8:30am with a second round beginning at 1:30pm. Registration fees are $600 for a team or $150 per person. Each player will receive a dry fit golf shirt, lunch and a ticket to Gathering on the Greens.

Gathering on the Greens (GOTG) is an event held poolside at the Hurricane Golf and Country Club. It includes live music, food, drinks and a silent auction. GOTG is set for Thursday, September 10, at 5:30pm. Tickets are $20 per person and free for registered golfers.
